I have the above mentioned model of TV and love it. I do, however, want to get the set top box decoder so that when I move out to the DC area in a few months, I can enjoy HDTV. Now, I've seen the prices of these vary all over the place, but I was scanning eBay and it looks like I can pick one up for about $150. What I want to know is, assuming I find one that works with my TV; is that all I'll need to do or will it require some "activation" on my part (or a local home theater store)? Or is it just $150 standing in the way of me enjoying HDTV?

Thanks in advance for any and all help...

For OTA signals, you don't need any sort of "acitivation" from any sort of content provider. So the STB will work, assuming it's in good condition.
