Welcome to the second Superheroes and Villains Draft.

This time we'll be picking eight superheroes and eight supervillains. As with the first draft, the winners will be able to trade up to two of their fighters after a match has been won. Unlike the first draft, you'll be able to pick characters from the lists of ALL the defeated rosters, as well as the "dropped" list (characters dropped from lists). Of course, the winner of a given match has dibs on characters from the roster they've just defeated - there will be a 24-hour window to do this. After that, said roster may be raided by other winners.

Serpentine draft order with 12-hour windows to make your picks. Once everyone has signed up, I'll randomize the draft order. If you're not going to be around when your turn comes up, please private message me with your pick (along with a backup or two). To make things go faster, we'll be picking one superhero and one supervillain per turn.

I'd like to get at least eight participants. Several people have already signed up and I'll be playing as well.

Just for fun, for those who are interested, we'll be playing a little game called "create your own superhero or villain." You don't have to provide a drawing, but you will need to come up with a character name and provide a synopsis of their powers. We'll then vote on them and see who has the favorite.

Here's my creation:

Multiple Man

Multiple Man is a powerful mutant afflicted with Dissociative Identity Disorder (multiple personalities). He has nine distinct personalities:

Joseph Smith - Multiple Man's "normal" personality.

Uberman - By far the most powerful of Multiple Man's personalities, Uberman possesses superhuman strength, invulnerability, and the power of flight. Uberman is a true hero, having as he does, the unbounded attributes of patriotism, honor, bravery, and chivalry. He is also a bit too stuffy and regal for his own good.

Lightning - This heroic persona possesses super-speed as well as the ability to generate and hurl bolts of lightning. Lightning has a rapier wit and often compliments his electric blasts with witty asides and insults. Many a villain hath suffered in both body and pride...

Boomer - This heroic persona possesses the ability to concentrate, craft, and direct sound - his "sonic blast" is a formidable weapon. Unfortunately his dour and cynical nature makes him hard to spur into action!

Graviton - This heroic persona possesses the ability to control gravity. He can attract and repel objects and is also capable of creating localized gravity fields of varying degrees. He can also "fly" by using his power to repel himself from the Earth. Graviton must be careful when creating his gravity fields as it is all too easy to cause physical harm to his opponents. If only he didn't love to fight and had more sympathy for evildoers...

Wormhole - This heroic (and somewhat shady) persona may be an offshoot of Graviton. He has the ability to create and travel through wormholes which makes him the perfect man for sneaking into enemy lairs. Though an expert fighter, he prefers hit and run tactics to a face-off (though his bragging would have you believe otherwise). To this end, he has honed his power to the extent that he is commonly believed to be a teleporter - he's that fast! Obstensibly a hero, Wormhole is not above accepting compensation for his deeds.

Lovechild - A nuisance personality, Lovechild is a perpetually-stoned neohippy who "fights" for the common good. He has no superpowers, no real athletic ability, and puts way too much stock in his New Age beliefs (he has yet to catch on that his "power pyramids" are useless). More often than not, he gets his ass kicked. Lovechild's habit of stashing a joint behind his ear has often caused Uberman much embarrassment!

Siphon - One of Multiple Man's two villainous personas, Siphon has the ability to "drain" the personality from anyone he touches. His victims, essentially transformed into "zombies," are then under his complete control and will do anything he commands. Siphon is capable of transferring kidnapped personalities back into their rightful bodies. In fact, he often asks for ransom money from the relatives of his victims, baiting them with the promise of restoring their loved one. Despite this frightening power, Siphon is a minor villain with no design for world conquest - he is content when he's scored enough money to have a good time.

Caustic - The second of Multiple Man's villainous personas, Caustic has the power to secrete toxic liquids and gases from his hands and lungs respectively. More often than not, these substances spell death to those that defy him. Caustic is supremely evil and intelligent. He also lacks a conscience and sports an acerbic sense of humor which he uses to belittle his dying victims. His ultimate goals are the subjugation of the human race and dominion over the Earth. Fortunately the Caustic persona rarely surfaces, but when it does, look out!

No, I'm not trying to make light of those afflicted with DID! I just thought the concept of Multiple Man would make for an interesting character. Posted Image
