I rarely start threads, but I just wanted to gauge interest in this lovely subject.

Movie posters, those little slices of heaven that often promise so much. We all have our favorites, for various reasons.

I thought it would be fun to share. Please include an actual shot of the poster in question, or a link. No competition, just a lot of cool posters!

Mine

It's not my favorite film, but I've always loved the poster, the tagline, the colors, everything!

Take care (and please share),
Chuck

Now if this post isn't perfectly timed! I should be finishing my dedicated HT in another 4 weeks, and will be purchasing some posters that will be highlighted by recessed Halogen lighting.

I have decided that I will be using posters that look good, and are intriguing in some way, rather than just get posters of my favorite movies. Taxi Driver is my second fav movie of all time, but I don't like the poster at all, so it won't be used.

Anyway, here is a poster I really like, and the movie is pretty good too:

I really like the poster posted by Angelo! I will have to try and track that one down. Hey, at least one Hitchcock poster is a must! :emoji_thumbsup:

I would really like to see others contribute to this thread! Great idea Chuck!

To be honest, Brian, I don't particularly care for that poster. I am considering this one, although I am not fond of the blue color:

There are so many damn good posters that its really too hard to pick a favorite, but anyways, here is one of my more recent favorites, and its for my fifth favorite film of all time at that.

Thanks Simon, I've never seen that particular poster, great art.

Since we're supposed to have pictures and I've never quite figured out how to post a picture, I'll have to direct you to my site link in my sig for my copy of the poster for Freaks Can a full grown woman truly love a midget? Also really dig the City of Lost Children poster but my favorite is the one for The Maltese Falcon. Incidentally, all the posters shown hang in my home theater room.

Found another that I kinda like:

It helps that I like Floyd and the movie.

This one seems to come closer to "art" than most posters.
