They showed all of these really cool basements. Including one which was a really nice home theater with lobby and a 35mm movie projector. I wonder if this guy is a member here??
I was thinking the exact same thing! For those of you who are interested, there's more info here. The couple was Frank and Harriet Partipilo of Chicago.
Are either of you guys on here? If so... WAY TO GO! Some very impressive stuff going on! Wonder if the movie theater setup also had a more modern system installed or if it was strictly for the classics on actual film?
My wife asked me if I wanted to see this, figuring there'd be some cool HTs there... I just could not watch it, knowing we'll most likely never have a basement as long as we live here in Tucson. :frowning:
I wish they'd have a recurring show just about home theater though.
I also loved the bar in the Egyptian-themed basement.
I thought that the full-sized basketball court was kind of a cheat, though, as it wasn't really a basement but an addition to the house that happended to be partially underground.
I missed the show (and forgot to tape it). There were supposedly two people from Indiana on it as well which is what peaked my interest. The basketball court one was from Lafayette and according to The Indianapolis Star, there was also supposed to be one with a batting or pitching cage in it belonging to one of our local sports radio announcers, Mark Patrick (who is also syndicated nationally on Fox Sports Radio).
