Anybody had any experience with this model? I'm thinking about buying it but if it's not near-perfect, I''' wait for its next generation (is it coming soon?) or Sony Grand Wega 42" LCD RPTV coming in September 2003 to Canada.

Well... uhmmm... thanks for the response... I guess... but wait for the 2nd generation, or wait for the Sony 42" LCD RPTV? can you please elaborate?

I have no idea who will have the better TV in the next generation, but I don't like the Panasonic picture compared to the current Grand Wega.

This model and the 45 inch, which is the same, except for screen size, has been discontinued. The new ones are out, but you can get really good deals on this model now, as low as $1700. I have the 45 inch model that I got for $1895 and although it is not as good as my 42 inch Panasonic plasma, for the money, it is really impressive.
