...PLUG THE HOLE! I ain't kiddin'! Let me tell my story...

I have a Bose AM3 system that I hate very much... So, I was
walking around the basement today when I came across some
open-cell sponge foam. I decided to tape this substance to
the front of the Bose Acoustimass module and was surprised
to find how it improved the sound. It made the bass softer
and less "boomy" and it even made the whole system sound a
little better than it used to.

Here's some pics of the Acoustimass Module...

So, what do ya' think? :D

Glad ya' liked it! ...Strangely, it really does work!

I think I'm gonna' leave it this way until I get my Wharfedale
Diamond 8.2 bookshelf speakers.

Note: The Acoustimass Module is NOT a subwoofer, it's a 5.5''
woofer mounted in a dual-tuned bandpass box.

First you need to locate a BFH this is a technical term
who's acronym stands for Big (Explative) Hammer. What steps
you take from this point is entirely up to you.

The scene in Office Space where they take the printer out to the field a-la Casino comes to mind :D

Of course it sounds better, you tightened up the bass by restricting the air movement. A sock or hand towel rolled up will do much the same. Note that this will also drop it's output by a few dB, and the hammer will have a significant effect on the output.

I think BOSE is much better than what all you have, It has style and is space saving. It sound super compare to paradigm. I used to have paradigms Titan for suround phamtons for mains. The BOSE i have sounded so much better. The paeradigm I have sounds like garbage.

Oh no... I'm confused now... Now I'm thinking it's a chat room!

Ok, where were we? ...Oh yea... Bose-Crashing! ...Or was it
Smashing? Bashing? ...Flashing? No that's not it. :D

I wonder how throwing a crash cymbal at my Acoustimass Module
would effect the sound... I bet it would be loud. :D

Next step, 4000 Watts and The Burning Bose! Acoustiblazing
Flames with boomy, muddy, and distorted bass. :D
