Hi all.

Does anyone here know if there will be a "universal" dvd player without the chroma bug and with Firewire coming out in the near future? Denon or Pansonic perhaps?

Also, does another manufacturers adoption of a Firewire digital out alone ensure it will be compatible with a receiver such as Pioneer's VSX-49TXi?

Many thanks in advance.
Universal Blu-ray Discs I will not be buying while they're offered only as Blu-ray + DVD 'flipper' discs:

The Jackal
, Out of Africa, and Traffic.

And Daddy I want an Umpa Lumpa now!

Just kidding...So far I think the firewire is different for each brand of player. We would hope that they will come up with a standard sooner or later. But we would think they would have gotten rid of the chroma bug by now too.
