The circular for this week has the X1 projector for $1199 before rebate at BestBuy. This is a pretty big leap for something so popular to be at a local b&m. I think you can find the projector cheaper but probably not closer. I do not think you can buy a better projector for the money.

There is a rumour at AVS that the list price will drop down to US$1000 with no rebate....as early as tomorrow if the poster is correct.

Let me guess thou BB does'nt have one actually working thou. That's my beef with the world of Projector's you have to lay down the cash to try one, and then it's yours. Do I have a sensitivity to Rainbow's and Screendoors? I'm not sure and I don't want to drop $1000 to find out.

But BB has a 30 day money back guarantee. This beats testing out a projector through mail order and then having to figure out how to return it cheaply.

I just went to the infocus site and they are listing the X1 for $999 plus a free 3 year warranty extension and $100 mail in. I was holding off until I move at the end of the month but I now I am going to place my order. This is too good to pass up.

Wow, so its $999 plus $100 mail in rebate? I wasnt too interested in going projector, but this might have me sold.

Got any good reviews or links besides the obvious one to the manufacturer?

Hi Doug,

>>I just went to the infocus site and they are listing the X1 for $999 plus a free 3 year warranty extension and $100 mail in.

That doesn't show up now, they are upgrading their web site. Maybe they are fixing the price?

They are updating the checkout it seems. The homepage lists the X1 at $999 and still includes the extended warranty and $100 rebate...

I was just on their site.
Clicked the Buy It to see if the price now reflects the new price in the shopping cart, and this came up.

For those that would rather purchase local B&M,
Be sure to bring this info in to best buy if you plan to purchase one. My Local Best Buy, (Minnesota Home of Best Buy)said that they will work match the offer 100%, I think they will also provide the extra three year warranty, Plus they have a 10% off coupon from May 23-26, I'm not sure if they will let you include the -10%, I do not see why they would'nt, They are not doing anything special, they are only keeping up with the manufacture's current offer.

i went to a local Best Buy just a few minutes ago. I asked about the projector advertised in their advertisement (the infocus x1) and they were pretty clueless. i had to ask 3 different people until the last said the projectors were only online.

i dont know what to make of it. maybe they havent received their share yet.

Don't forget the 10% of coupon for this weekend.
I checked two coupons.
One says digital, plasma and lcd monitors or something like that.
The other one is for electronics.
I would try the coupons anyway.
It won't hurt to try!

If you check infocus' websight a new press release shows the new 4800. It is the equivalent to the X1 with a different color wheel. The retail is $1500, and is on the websight now. Some people might want to wait.

IF you NOW go to your local BEST BUY or call them
and give them this SKU # 5390365.
You should hear that the price is NOW $999.
I spent about a half hour on the phone with corporate
offices yesterday, They are located here in Minnesota.
Today the price has been changed, At least here in Minnesota.
Also if you find a nice Manager, they just may let you use the 10% off prior to Friday May 23 :D
About $799. Plus your sales TAX if any when all said and done:D

Actually the Best Buy Price is $999.99
They will remove that extra $0.99 for you if you desire.;)
$799 with a five year warranty after -10% & rebate.
Use a major credit card that doubles the warranty up to
1 year, Now your warranty is 3 years parts & Labor from two
and the last two years labor only from InFocus:)BestBuy online @ $999.99 also.

Joel,
I just ask if I could use it now,
Being a holiday weekend and all,
the crowds tend to be small doing holiday stuff and such.
This is the reason they place these sales for these dates.
Just ask nicely and they should have no problems with it.

You may want to start a new wanted thread for this coupon.
Even if you had to pay someone for USPS express over night mail to get it, that cost I think is about $10.
Also USPS does deliver express on Sundays.
You just need to make sure the shipping party gets to the post office by the early close on Saturday.
The last day the coupon's can be used is Monday the 26th.
The bar code for that coupon is 4 00038 94236 3
just to be sure you get the correct one.
Check with friends at work or even neighbors.
They came in the mail.
Good Luck.
