What great news! With those long and convoluted continued stories they used to run, I don't think I've EVER seen one whole storyline straight through. Hugo and Igo Bumbling, man that stuff was classic. :D

Now if we could get Underdog like this it would be one of the absolute best days of DVDs!

Hmmm...what were the story arcs of the first season? Was it the Rocket Fuel story with Gibney and Cloyde? I wonder if the laugh track that was imposed on some episodes will be kept.

And more importantly, how long will we have to wait for the epic tale of Wossamotta U.?

Don't turn and run

Go on instead

Your friend the moose

Is straight ahead

"The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle"
(from the November 1984 issue of Video Review)
JET FUEL FORMULA (40 segments)
Using their secret formula for lunar propulsion, Rocky and Bullwinkle meet moonmen Gidney and Cloyd. Returning to Earth, Rocky and Bullwinkle walk into a trap. No sooner do they escape the perils of Pottsylvania than, while mountain-climbing the Grimalayas, they encounter the moonmen trying to get home. With Rocky and Bullwinkle's help, Gidney and Cloyd flunk their citizenship tests and are deported back to the moon.
BOX TOP ROBBERY (12 segments)
Bullwinkle owns the world's largest collection of box tops. Since these are the currency of all global economies, he's set for life - until it's discovered that counterfeit box tops are flooding the market.
UPSIDAISIUM (36 segments)
Bullwinkle inherits an upsidaisium mine in a mountain that flies because upsidaisium is an anti-gravity metal. The nation needs upsidaisium, so Bullwinkle and Rocky fly the mountain to Washington. Thwarting them at every turn are Mojave Max and Death Valley Dotty.
METAL-MUNCHING MICE (16 segments)
The arrival of six-foot-tall metal moon mice who chomp up TV antennas spells catasrophe in Frostbite Falls. As their screens go dark, townsfolk are forced to watch black screens, or clothes in the laundromat. Can mankind concieve of a greater terror?
GREENPERT OOGLE (12 segments)
A desert island's only treasure was the oogle bird, which laid a valuable egg once a month. Now the island needs a substitute oogle bird, and Bullwinkle is kidnapped to do the job.
RUE BRITANNIA (8 segments)
Adventure kicks off with a birthmark, a veritable footnote to history, on Bullwinkle's foot. It spells "Rue Britannia," and means Bullwinkle is sole heir to a fabulous English estate - if he can spend a week in the ancestral Abominable Manor. He's not afraid ("I've been living in an abominable manner all my life") but should be, because distant relations want him out of the way.
BURIED TREASURE (14 segments)
Frostbite Falls' gazette, the Picayune Intelligence, has a treasure hunt to build its circulation. Soon the notorious Babyface Braunschweiger has Bullwinkle in jail and the prize within his grasp.
THE LAST ANGRY MOOSE (4 segments)
With the help of D.W. Grifter and Alfred Hitchhike - each bearing a striking resemblance to Boris - Bullwinkle stars in a movie.
WAILING WHALE (14 segments)
Rocky and Bullwinkle discover an underwater city, Submerbia, and the great wailing whale, Maybe Dick.
THE THREE MOOSKETEERS (8 segments)
Bullwinkle, aka Aramoose, proves his skill with sword and yo-yo, and does would-be king Francois Villain out of a kingdom.
LAZY JAY RANCH (18 segments)
For $28 Bullwinkle buys a Western ranch, then discovers its livestock is worms. Things look bad, unless Rocky and Boris can drive the worm herd.
MISSOURI MISH MASH (26 segments)
Boris is on the trail of the Kirward Derby, which can make its wearer the smartest man in the world.
TOPSY TURVY WORLD (14 segments)
The North Pole has slipped down to the West Pacific. Boris plans to take over the new North Pole, replace Santa Claus and start carrying presents up the chimney instead of down.
PAINTING THEFT (6 segments)
Bullwinkle mistakes filched art masterpieces for wallpaper and hangs them in his chicken coop. When he whitewashes over them, Boris and Natasha insist on buying them anyhow. Certain that he's a genius, Bullwinkle turns out more, sending some to museums.
THE GUNS OF ABALONE (4 segments)
On their way to silencing the Guns of Abalone, Rocky and Bullwinkle are shot from the sky, imprisoned, threatened with execution and stuck in a sinking ship on a storm-tossed sea. But they have it easy compared with what happens to Boris.
THE TREASURE OF MONTE ZOOM (8 segments)
Boris, seeking treasure in Lake Salle de Pain, has a shortcut to getting it: pulling the plug at the bottom of the lake.
GOOF GAS ATTACK (8 segments)
An epidemic of intense stupidity is sweeping the country. The cause is goof gas, Boris Badenov's new secret weapon.
BANANA FORMULA (12 segments)
Professor Bermuda Schwartz invents a silent explosive called Hushaboom. Boris, disguised as a fruit peddler, steals the formula and writes it inside a banana. Bullwinkle wants to buy the banana, and Boris, always ready to make a buck, sells it. Since Bullwinkle can remember everything he ever ate, all is not lost.
BUMBLING BROTHERS CIRCUS (10 segments)
The circus comes to town with Boris as lion tamer Claude Badley. Boris, fired, retaliates by driving the circus to bankruptcy. Meanwhile, Rocky is tied to a burning stake.
MUCHO LOMA (6 segments)
Zero the desperado is terrorizing Mucho Loma (fractured Spanish for "Much Mud") with his cap gun and the deafening noise of banging pails.
POTTSYLVANIA CREEPER (6 segments)
Bullwinkle and Rocky have nothing to enter in the flower show until kindly Boris offers them a bean "descended from Jack's original beanstalk." Soon the vigorous vine is gobbling everything in sight.
MOOSYLVANIA (4 segments)
Boris runs a contest. Bullwinkle wins a set of Encyclopedia Badenov, rigged to explode when opened to "Moosylvania," his hometown.
THE RUBY YACHT (6 segments)
The epic begins in Frostbite Falls on the shores of Lake Veronica where Bullwinkle finds the Ruby Yacht of Omar Khayyam.
BULL'S TESTIMONIAL DINNER (6 segments)
Frostbite Falls is going to honor Bullwinkle for acting as a snow plow during a blizzard. But first he needs a clean shirt, which takes him and Rocky to China.
THE WEATHER LADY (6 segments)
Frostbite Falls acquires a mechanical fortune teller to predict the weather. Boris snatches it away to a gambling emporium, where it wins him a bundle at poker. Rocky and Bullwinkle try to win it back.
LOUSE ON 92ND STREET (6 segments)
Bullwinkle is out onion shopping when he mistakes a getaway car for a taxi.
WOSSAMOTTA U. (12 segments)
The truly inept Wossamotta U. football team signs Bullwinkle. Suddenly they're unbeatable. But Boris oozes out of the woodwork to fix the game.
MOOSYLVANIA SAVED (4 segments)
When the stolen treasury of Pottsylvania surfaces in Moosylvania, Boris turns it into the world's most popular disaster area.

I always knew that the Rocket Fuel story was long, but I had no idea that it was 40 segments! I am thinking that could have been the only story during the first season of the show involving the main chacaters.

Can't wait for this...simply another title to add to the already 20+ titles that I have coming in August!

When I watched Moose & Squirrel on their first run they were always alternated with Peabody's Improbable History (Mr. Peabody and his pet boy Sherman). That's how I'd like to see them again.

I'd love to see "Fractured Flickers"(1963-64) from the same company(Jay Ward)...dubbing a silent comedy with the same voices from "Rocky and Bullwinkle". :D
