In this month's Premiere magazine (Has Hugh Jackman as Wolverine on my cover, could have multiple covers promoting X2 for all I know), there's a nice article featuring the impact of Director of Photography (DP) on films. If you're a fan of filmmaking, it'd be a nice article to peruse. I think the page number around page 42 in the magazine.

I should really get a subscription because Premiere is one of my favorite reads as far as film mags go. I'm definitely picking this up and reading it tomorrow. While I'm not a filmmaker by any means, I do love reading things from people inside the industry about things which go unnoticed. Like, how many times have you watched a great film and said "That director of photography did an incredible job"?

I picked up this issue before boarding a train, hoping to find some fun in the Summer Movie section. Yawn.

The piece Patrick mentions is arguably the only good article in the whole magazine - but it is a fascinating read. I was kind of surprised to see something so intelligent in Premiere Magazine. :D
