I'm thinking about going to a 6.1 setup and using one of my sat's for a rear center channel. Would the N24's work well as my mains? I thought about the S38's as an option too, but they are pretty big. Or I guess the S-Centerii might be an option as a rear center channel instead of adding the S38's or N24's.

Thanks for helping a newbie out!

Using a Scenter is a waste for the rear channel, because its not a rear stereo center channel. Its a mono rear surround channel, so you would be fine with a regular satellite back there. Also dont mix and match between the N and S ceries line. If you have a good ear you will notice timbre and panning inconsitencies.

N24s are very nice speakers for the money. Obviously S38s are much better, but they also cost a lot more. Its all about how much money you want to spend. Use the search on this forum because there are tons of threads discussing the N and S series lines. :)
