I'm having a slight problem w/ my year and a half old Panasonic 47WX49. My main TV viewing has been done over standard cable for the past few months. A few nights ago when I hooked my DSS receiver up via S-Video, the following problem started. When watching TV in Justified stretch mode, the aspect mode will randomly switch back Zoom mode. This never happened w/ regular cable, and can't happen w/ Prog. Scan DVD because the 47WX49 locks in Full mode when it gets a progressive or HD signal.

Anyone have any ideas why the TV would be switching back to Zoom mode at random intervals while watching SAT TV over S-Video?

Thanks :)

Stephen, this seems to be a common problem with this model of Panny. I've also had this problem for a year and a half. No one has an answer for it. But check out this web site: www.panny.tv and you can speak with tons of panny owners.

Is this just an S-Video problem? If so, I'll use composite for SAT (I don't see much difference in picture quality between the two) until I get an HD receiver or SAT receiver w/ component output. Also, will I have this problem w/ non-progressive component input? I'm really hoping it's just a s-video thing.

Thanks,

Stephen
