DD-EX and DTS-ES

Are the rear speakers for these two formats mono? I used to know this but have forgotten.:b

yes, DD-EX is matrixed and ES can have a discrete (mono) rear. Here is some info from the DTS site: http://www.dtsonline...ar/hometheatre/

As-is, yes, but if you apply THX Ultra2 processing, which decorrelates the rears, they are really not mono. Same signal, but phase shifted slightly to give better separation between them.

And then there's Logic 7, which isn't mono either.
If it's not worth waiting until the last minute to do, then it's not worth doing.
