This week is pretty big, but since none of the other titles I want are on sale (Castlevania, RCT2:WW, .hack//Mutation) I'll just pick up RTCW. The Gamer's gift cards that are free with select PS2 games are also available anywhere in the game department, so buy one and put $1 on it to use the $5 coupon. Depending on the clerk you get, you can also use them on sale titles.

I've gone to several Blockbusters looking for MechAssault for the Xbox, has any one been able to find it?

By the way, is the $19 price for used or new?

Thanks

Brand new. Those were just games that they put out in some stores for those prices.

Edit: BTW, Kung Fu Chaos (Xbox) seems to have gone into the Price Drop category. It's down to $29.99 at both Target and Best Buy.

Looking at the *insanely* long list this week, am I right in saying that the lowest price for RTCW (Xbox) will be $39.99 from Best Buy? What day does this hit the shelves btw?

Wolfenstein should be hitting stores tomorrow or Wednesday, and yes, that does appear to be the best price for it.

I'm trying to figure out the right direction to go with the list. Whether or not I should put the Price Drops in another thread, or keep them here... I'm just not sure.

Anyone heard of an upcoming $50 price drop in some noteable game consoles?

This site predicts it will occur during E3 this month. It is noted at the end of today's (05/05) deals on their home page:

Godzilla; Monsters, Inc.; Crash Bandicoot; Dragon's Lair 3D; and Piglet's Big Game, all for Gamecube, are now 19.99 each at EBGames.com usually same prices B&M for those interested in the 'buy-3-19.99-and-up-get-$40-GC' B&M deal (online rebate deal over, but B&M deal good for purchases through 5/30/03).

I like your list just as it is Glen, the *insanely* part was a compliment!

Hey Glen,

Love the list. If I had one suggestion - I'd list the price drops grouped by console.

Thanks for the great work!

Never mind buying Piglet's Big Game for Gamecube at EBGames; it's also $19.99 at Best Buy B&M, and you can use one of those gamer gift card $5-off-$19.99-and-up-video-game coupons to make it $14.99.

Edit: IGN gave this game a solid review, especially for those of you who, like me, have very young video game addicts in the house:

Thanks for the compliments guys.

I'm really enjoying doing the list. I'm always thinking of ways to make it better.

I'll probably "debut" a few new features to the list next week.

Anyone looking to pre-order Enter the Matrix should check out the EBGames rebate deals.

$15 rebate with strategy guide
$20 rebate with Animatrix DVD
$30 rebate with both

The only problem as I see it is that they process all 3 separately so you pay $15 in shipping charges, which is pure crap. They should at least ship the guide and game together.

Glen,

Again, thanks for the list! It's been an invaluable source for all my video game needs :).

One suggestion I did have though, would be to sort the Price Drops by Platform first, and then date. That will make it easier to glance through when looking for a specific system.

I've got a few changes in store for tomorrow's Game thread. Hopefully they'll all work out. :)

I'm going to have an early copy of the thread out around 7:30 in the morn, and then I'll get the ad prices in later in the day... or possibly in the early thread... it's hard to say at this point.
