Hello all,
I am in the planning stages of building one of these component racks...I have searched all the threads and read about and seen many of your own designs; but, I have yet to come across one that has a bookshelf speaker placed on one of the rack's shelves.
My project is a seven shelf design, this including the speaker (JBL S26II), a DVD shelf, and 5 shelves for various components. I plan on using 5/8" all-thread bars and birch shelves.
The main question here is if the speaker being on the same rack as my components will affect their ability to function properly (DVD, CD) because of any vibration. And I am aware of the rubber washers recommended to dampen the shelves.
Any input or pictures would be greatly appreciated!
