So Cal Meet, any interest? (1 Viewer)

I need to know if there is interest in a meet to take place in Southern California in mid July. It would spread from Thursday to Sunday and include visits to 5.1 Entertainment, Chace Digital Sound (where they develop new surround soundtracks for DVD's) DTS, Widescreen Review (with wine tasting to follow!) and will culminate at my home theater (front projection w/9' screen) and a possible visit from Bill Hunt of The Digital Bits and special guests. We'll probably throw in some lunches here and there so it will cost some $$ for the meals. I need to take a count so if enough people say they can do this, we'll go ahead with it.

OHHHHH YEAH!!! Four days of audio/ht elbow rubbing. ME= GIRLFRIEND= Count me in for a couple of days as well, but not all four.

The synopsis for 5.1 Entertainment has just come in. This is what you can expect from them on Friday, July 11th, afternoon shift:

"We would give 25 – 30 people a tour of our studios, demo various audio discs, introduce them to our Engineers Chris Haynes, and Gary Lux, take them into the studio with Gary. Gary would explain how he has mixed projects such as Aaron Neville, Sting, etc. IN addition, we would give them a tour of the process of making DVD-Audio discs from conception to authoring. Also, we will give the attendees a sampler to leave the building with. How does that sound?"

Oh yeah! Sweet! Looking forward to that one for sure...

I am definitely interested in all 4 days, especially if they are that week (July 10-13). Sunday morning might be a minor problem, but only until 10am or so, after that I am free again.

DTS is scheduled for Thursday morning, July 10th, approx. 10 am.

"At our session we will provide updates on our technologies as well as their applications (including a chance to play some video games in our theater!), and get some sneak previews from upcoming DTS Entertainment releases (more on that as the event draws closer). And of course, we'll have some stylin' DTS swag to wear/display proudly."

I am trying to put together a BBQ lunch to follow that. We'll be ordering out to WoodRanch BBQ for lunch delivery. If you are in touch with anyone that has attended our meets in the past, please pass on this information. Thanks!
