The Matrix Reloaded-October 3rd? (1 Viewer)

According to the new issue of Empire Magazine, in their DVD section, they mention that The Matrix Reloaded is coming on October 3rd...which, given that it is almost exactly a month before the third movie comes out, makes sense (also since someone said in an interview that the idea of the two films coming out in theaters a month apart was rejected because of home video concerns). Also, although October 3rd is a Friday, given that this is a big Warner Bros. release, it also makes sense (look at Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets). So...anyone have any further info?

Sound logical to me. Might be too early to be sure but even if this isn't the exact date it will probably be around then.

I've seen the new trailer more times than I count, getting real excited for May 15!

I worry about buying this set, if there is going to be a mega-trilogy box after the final film comes out... it would be dissapointing to get burned so bad by a series I will probably (judging by the trailers) enjoy.

I definitely would not buy any set now because they are eventually going to do a new transfer for the first movie.

I haven't purchased the Matrix or Matrix Revisited DVDs, so I'll just wait for the big trilogy box set, which hopefully will contain a new Matrix SE.

This trilogy alone will be worth buying a HD-DVD player for. Assuming I can get a HD-DVD player for about $1000 and the Matrix trilogy will be available anytime soon on HD-DVD (I hear SONY will begin selling them this year).

I am getting ready to see The Flight of the Osiris in theaters tonight

and I will be buying the trilogy box set that will come out after Revolutions will hit theaters

The Flight of Osiris was amazing, I really wish Final Fantasy movie would have done better so Square-Pictures would still be around. Would love to see a full length CG matrix flick, sigh... maybe one day

I'll be skipping any indiv release of the matrix original or sequels because there will inevitably be a killer box set with a new transfer and hopefully a 448 DD audio track on the original. I hope Warners is reading this thread, I know many, many people would love a higher rate DD track for the matrix!
