Ok, I just got myself a new 47" widescreen HDTV and had to move all my stuff to a different room. I put my receiver and all the other components in a rack/cabinet right outside of my left front speaker. After I got everything hooked up and running again the receiver shuts itself off when a loud explosion or something happens in higher volumes. It's really annoying. I've never had the problem before this (my receiver used to be in the center, under my old tv) and have run the movies in this volume level before. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what I can do to fix it? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe you have a strand of speaker wire shorting out, or something as simple as that. Try tearing it down and re-wiring everything. Hopefully this will work.

Actually I think that's what it was. Seems to be working ok now. I had to go buy a new roll of speaker wire since I cut a few corners putting it together last. Everything sounds great now and seems to be good working order. Thanks!
