I am really curious to know the answer to this question. I dont think it does cause there is no time allignment on the sacd portion and one would think witht he great job they did on thsi one if there was a conversion they would ahve at elast added time allignment.

If you check my post above, according to Michael Bishop of Telarc an player whther universal or not that has any kind of bass management or level control or any digital management converts to PCM.

This is basically because DSD chips cannot perform these functions, I believe.

Whether this is audible or not is moot, as is its truth.

Yes but Steve as some people post above this is not completly accurate because some players to apply the BM to the DSD signal, hence no time allignment.
