I have just purchased some of the 25 watt aura bass shakers. Iam playing of using this old reciever to power them: AMPLIFIER SECTION: All 5 channels: RT2280: each 80W at 8 ohm. 0.9% THD @1 kHz Subwoofer channel: 100w at 8 Muting Attenuation: 65dB Frequency Response: 40Hz to 20kHz +/-3dB Signal to Noise Ratio: 65dB (Bypass mode) Some people have told me that I will have to do some sort of different wiring job and was wondering how I would do that.

The Bass Shakers are 4 ohm speakers. You need to wire 2 of them in series to create a 8 ohm load or you might draw too much current and over-heat your receiver. If you put speakers in series, the receiver will "see" Total Impedence = R1 + R2 + R3 (SERIES: This is where you flow the power from the receiver to the first speaker, out of the first speaker into the second, out of the second into the third, then finally back to the receiver). If you put the speakers in parallel, the receiver will see: Total Impedence = 1 / (1/R1) + (1/R2) + (1/R3) (Parallel: This is connecting all the red wires together and all the black wires together to your speaker outputs on your receiver.) 3 Bass Shakers wired in parallel will look like: 1 / (.25) + (.25) + (.25) = 1.33 ohms The close you get to 0.00, the closer you get to a direct-short. So it's safer to wire them in series: 4 + 4 + 4 = 12 ohms.

Sorry that whole thing confused me. Can you try to tell me in a more simple way how to wire them?
