Hi all, I have not posted in some months but have come across something interesting. While I put in the dvd of Chamber of Secrets the other day I noticed something on my Yamaha reciever that I had not seen before. When the movie started playing it switched to Dolby Digital 6.1 on the reciever. Is this supposed to be Dolby EX 5.1? Because if it is why doesnt my copy of Attack of the Clones do it? Hope you guys can shed some light on the issue. Thanks! Angelo Alex

My guess is that the two DVDs are flagged differently... I don't have a Yamaha reciever so I can't be positive, but I would guess that COS track has the EX flag and the AOTC track doesn't. It shouldn't matter... the sound should be the same regardless.

It's common for EX tracks not to be flagged because certain recievers had problems with it
