Hello to all,

I have the TH-42PWD5UZ (42" ED) plasma by panasonic. Most of the families viewing is Dish (70%), DVD (25%) and cable (5%). I am interested in trying to get the PQ from the sat feed (which reads 123 out of 125 on the receiver for signal strength) to look less "soft". Also we have the older panasonic DVD-a120 that is being used as the DVD player.

Question, would a video scaler (like the AVT-3700 found here:http://www.avtoolbox.com/avt-3700.htm do any good?? As my DVD player is interlaced only would there be a benefit. Anyone know if there could be any benefit in PQ using a different scaler as opposed to the panasonic's internal scaler?

Thanks for all responses.
- Rich
