Does a PS2 Car adapter exist? (1 Viewer)

I went to BB and found a car adapter (cigarette light thingy) for PS1, but BBGuy says no go for PS2. Says I need a 50.00 converter that will give me extra outlet for my maxivan. Are these safe? Any suggestions?

What he's talking about is basically a box that converts DC to AC, so there's a car plug on one end, and a regular AC plug on the other. It removes the need for all other car adapters, and works great. It gets a little warm though, but that's the only downer that I can think of.
