Yep, this is for connecting up to other products remote in plugs. This allows the remote signals received by the Technics' IR detector to be sent electronically to another piece of equipment. Many receivers have these, but it appears that noone is using them to their advantage. My NAD T752 has inputs and a couple of outputs. I plan on using the input to put a detector in the stand I build for the centre speaker, as then I can point my universal remote in the direction of the TV instead of having to kind of do a half-way job when doing macros that operate both the TV, DVD player (below the TV) and receiver (On the other side of the room).
