Just watched the ending of this on Encore. Is it just me, or does Bluto get to one point in the ocean during the end credits, and never moves again after he gets to that one spot? Despite frantic swimming, heh. Always found that kind of strange and wonder if anyone else ever picked up on it?

Also, I can't recall if I ever saw the opening of this movie. Was there an animated segment with new material from the original voice of Popeye included?

The movie began like one of the old Fleischer Studios cartoons, in b/w and in Academy Ratio. When Popeye comes out of the porthole, he says something to the effect of "Blow me down! I'm in the wronk movie!" Then the film goes live-action, widescreen, etc. and the movie proper starts. Of course, nobody has seen this quirky film in OAR since its theatrical run. I'm looking forward to the new DVD.
