"This ain't New York, this is the bronx"

Finally on DVD, the ultimate break-dance movie of all time.
The disc is a flip, one side P&S, the other 16:9 enhanced widescreen. Picture quality is good considering the age. The reds are over saturated but who cares, its Beat Street.
The audio is lacking with the stereo only surround. 5.1 would've been sweet during the Roxy break battle, which by the way is the one scene that is worth the purchase alone.

If you ever owned a boom box radio that took 10 or more D-cell batteries, this is a must buy......Posted Image

Yeah I was the white kid in the back of the bus in the mid-80's with a boombox stuffed in his bag blasting Run DMC, LL Cool J, the Beastie Boys, Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince and much more. I don't know if I'll get any of these DVD's though. The hip hop/breakin flicks always seemed cheezy to me, but I guess they work as time capsules.
