Another Paramount SE, hmm? In the tradition of the new Jack Ryan DVDs, can we dare hope for DTS?

Well, what a glorius day... hopefully. Seems like an awesome long time to wait, but I have waited for an SE for 5 years, or is it 6.. I don't know

I am going to repost my wishes from an earlier thread

Disc 1

-- Remastered and properly framed anamophic 2.35:1 video
-- remastered dolby digital and dts 5.1 audio tracks
-- commentary by Jerry Bruckheimer, Tony Scott and Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer
-- Top gun trivia sub-title track

Disc 2

-- Retrospective documentary (minimum 45 minutes)
-- the "making of Top Gun" short
-- Music Videos for "Danger Zone", "Take my Breathe Away", and "Top Gun Anthem"
-- Teaser trailer and full trailer
-- Deleted Scenes, Gag Real
-- A short on the lookback of the career of Don Simpson
-- The original article "Top Guns of the Sky" from California Magazine which inspired the movie
-- Documentary on Fighter Weapons School aka Top Gun
-- Documentary on the aerial photography of the movie
-- VH1 Behind the Movie "Top Gun"

thats a good start for me..

Maverick, you just did and incredibly brave thing. What you should have done was land your plane! you don't own that plane, the tax payers do! Son, your ego is writing checks your body can't cash. You've been busted, you've lost your qualifications as section leader three times, put in hack twice by me, with a history of high speed passes over five air control towers, and one admiral's daughter!

Remastered and properly framed anamophic 2.35:1 video

The current edition isn't anamorphic, but it IS correctly framed at 2:1. This was one of the first Super-35 films and it looks like the framing method wasn't perfected yet. This is why the widescreen video version is matted to only 2:1 instead of 2.35:1. Someone said that Tony Scott wanted the video to be this way because of the framing.
