I also own this receiver and run the 777es website and forum. It is great receiver, it only weighs 63 pounds though :)

It is the most customizable receiver I have seen. If you would like to learn about this great receiver click here

It has pretty much every thing you ever wanted to know about this receiver.

Jason,

Thanks for posting the link to your web site it is very informative.

This Receiver only had a limited small production run and some say that it was stealing sales from the seperates and discontinued. I have only seen about a dozen offered for sale since I pick this one up. I'm upgrading to seperates that retail $5200 and I'm very concerned that I may not see much improvment especially for music from what this reciever as to offer. I auditioned Sony's seperates and there only appeared to be sightly more detail in DVD audio and stereo was on par.

Thanks for looking.

I switched from my 777es to another reciver for a while. The new reciver went in for service and the 777es was hooked back up.

The only reaction that did it justice was DAMN! I love the sound of this reciever. =)

Good luck with the sell.

I will say this, I will not upgrade from this receiver until there is some major change with Dolby Digital and DTS. I like it that much!

I would be interested in buying your RM-TP503 remote or trading a 504 for remote for your 503. Let me know if you are interested.

Greg,

I think the remote should go along with the receiver I'm going to really miss it when it goes. I like the way it list all my hundereds of CDs in my juke box by 13 character name and number and can adjust everything and shows current setting of any componets through Sony's AII link. It only lack in programmable macro memory in my opinion.

Does anybody elese know how to manage CD juke boxes with title names in the remote?

Kelly,

Did I say that I was the Original Owner? What are you getting at? Are you interested in a purchase or trying to make some sort of statement. Its a great receiver in great shape purchased from a cerified Sony dealer on 7/01 and comes with a 5 year Sony warrenty that is standard on all Sony ES products that are purchased from a Sony certified dealer as long has you have a sales receipt of which this one does. I hope this clarifies your interest.

Again this receiver is still avaliable and will be put up for sale on E-Bay and Audiogon as soon as my new seperates arive in a week or so.

Thanks for looking ;)

Yeah kelly t, what are you getting at? You've been riding Ronald throughout this whole thread. Are you trying to put doubts in the minds of potential buyers? Your last comment was really unnessary. I'm sure there is a forum rule about interfering w/ another member's efforts to sell an item. If I were you Ron, I'd have this thread closed and start a "fresh" listing.

Once again, who ever does buy this receiver will be a very happy person. Orginal owner? Who cares? I have found that most people who are willing to invest the kind of money it takes to get such a high quality product like the Sony STR-DA777ES, it is very well taken care of.

Once again, this is one of the best receivers every produced in my opinion. If I didn't all ready own one, I would jump at the chance to get it. Good Luck with the sale!

Ronald,

Email me and I will give you link where a lot of 777es owners and would be owners hang out. I can't post it here cause it is another forum, but email me and I will give you the link. Maybe you will be able to find a buyer there.
