Crutchfield says yes, Etronics says no. Which is correct?

That's a good question. Sorry but I don't know if it is or not. Mine is around 20 ft away from my TV, so I'm in good shape.

When I got mine some time ago, I believe that the info that I read said it was. I had always had it a good distance away from the tv so it was a non-issue until recently. I decided to move my sub around and put it by the tv. I didn't notice anything for a day or two, then me and the wife were watching a movie and I noticed discoloration on the side next to my sub. I moved the sub back to where it was originaly, and have experienced no problems since. So to make a short answer long, some say it is, but mine wasn't (or not good enough).
