The 32-inch Samsung TXM-3296HF 4:3 direct-view HD-capable set is list at one authorized retailer for only $899. Not that I'm interested in this display (which has a 16:9 mode), but why has the priced dropped so much? It appears to be the least expensive 32-inch HD-capable display available at the moment.

Have there been reliability issues? For example, RCA's notorious 38-inch widescreen model can be had at very low prices, but who would want to buy one?

Did a search, forgetting the function is disabled at this time of day.
