Anyone have any idea what the status is of getting
American Hot Wax released on DVD?

Which studio should I be sending letters to?

Paramount indeed owns AMERICAN HOT WAX. However, the limited popularity of the film, coupled with the prohibitively high fees required to license the music in the film, mean it is unlikely to appear on DVD anytime soon. It's the same affliction that other desired Paramount music titles BREAKING GLASS and LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THE FABULOUS STAINS are likely suffering from.
