I used to have some E800's. They were pretty decent. I also heard the E610, which I didnt really like. I haven't heard the the towers (670)though. I have heard the subs, and they kinda suck. The E series are nicer, but the X series are kinda their cheaper line. Their higher line is the D series. I really wouldnt get the sub mostly because its the X series, and I still have not heard a jamo sub I think sounded good for the price. Your sub does not really have to match the others. Anyway, if you can get a really good deal through your friend they might make a nice budget HT.

GucluA, I have the E6 centre and E6 sub (along with some A510 fronts). My only criticism with the sub is, to my ears, it does not have the slam of other specialised subwoofer. It does have wonderful depth. The centre is by no means the best centre speaker on the market, but it is still a very good speaker. Regarding the fronts, from my limited auditions, I find there is a marked difference between the E6** range (E610, E630, E650 & E670). It would really depend on what you like best in the E6 speaker range. If it was me, I would get the E6 sub instead of the X5. Glenn
