Hmm, I don't like these odds. My top 3 or 4 are guaranteed to be gone before my first pick, and except for those select few, I'm not much of a director worshipper. I think I'll sit this one out. But I'll be back for the voting :)

Yeah, in retrospect I probably should have limited it to 8 people. But what the hell, all of the lists will have to dig pretty deep. After my #1, I'm going to have to wait for 31 directors to get picked before I pick again. :frowning:

I've decided to use a 12 hour limit to keep this moving. I realize some people don't check in every 12 hours, but I'm encouraging the use of private messaging to send me your next few choices. If someone sends me a choice, and it gets taken, then I'll extend to 24 hours for that person, although it would be nice to send me more than one choice for just such an eventuality.

The list so far:

George Kaplan

Jan H
Vickie_M
Gabe D

Angelo.M
Rand

Chris_Richard
Lew Crippen

this is the first draft I'd like to participate in, but I'm going to California tomorrow for a week and while i'll have limited net access, I doubt I'll have the time to check in.

I guess I could send you a big list of directors to draft from George, but it would be a bunch of work for both of us.

Well Brook, I'm going to accept you provisionally, because it wouldn't be any extra work for me, and I'd really like to see you in.

That closes out the draft, except for one back-up, in case Brook still decides not to do it.

So, without further ado, I'll make my first pick (and possibly the last one I'll be really, really happy with :),

Alfred Hitchcock

Jim, you're up.
