This is a thread about the upcoming Peter Pan film....I am very eagerly awaiting this film...its even got Jason Issacs as Hook....how cool is that....it looks to be extremely true to the book...something that none of the other films have ever done...Hook was the most true and it had a completely different story (Hook still rocks tho)the film is costing around $200mil I believe and could be the film that really challenges RotK this Christmas...heres some pics....

Also there is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT film concerning the life of J.M. Barrie this year with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet...

There's also the 1924 silent version, which I think was done with Barrie's approval. It's on a very nice DVD from Kino, IIRC.

Wow... I hope this movie is good. I read the book when I was in grade school, and loved it. From that picture of Peter, it even matches the illustrations as far as I can remember. But what is that dragon statue? I don't remember it.

By the way, where did you get these pictures?

If this is an amazing film, which does justice to J.M. Barrie's tale, it could be huge. There's a universal appeal in Pan, which could be unlocked by a great adaptation.

But we'll see.

I found some new images from the movie on Dark Horizons.

You can click on the thumbnails for the full images. And here are one, two, three more that don't appear on Dark Horizon's news page at all for some reason.

Note that the aspect ratio is 2.35:1. This is no kid's film... I'm excited already!

Gotta say I liked the look of Dustin Hoffman's Hook better than Jason Issac's Hook look. That said, this should still be pretty friggin' sweet.

Jason has some stiff competition...gonna be hard to beat Hoffman...he was so great as Hook...but I think if anyone can do it...its gonna be Jason...

Those images look great! I'm soooo excited!

They do look fantastic. Buzz on the script is also quite good. I hope the film does well. ANYTHING to quell the notion that movies that feature whatever Nickelodeon cartoon du jour constitute "Family Films".

Can someone tell me what Neverland is about? And I had once read the name Wendy came from Peter Pan.
