So, if somebody thinks Rain would be a great drinking buddy he or she is free to nominate him.
Well if I'd known I could have picked Rain, I would have joined. Posted Image Posted Image

"I had a dream a long time ago, before I had achieved anything professionally. I dreamt I was in a cinema watching a movie with an audience. And suddenly I realized I was aging rapidly, growing horribly old as I sat there, and it was the movie that was doing it. I had caught some kind of disease from the movie and it was making me grow old, bringing me closer and closer to death. I woke up terrified."

Are you sure that's David Cronenberg and not John Cassavetes?

Does this Draft cycle back up the list? 1-16, 16-1? Or 1-16, 1-16?

Oooh, that's a good question. I haven't thought about that. I was the one who bitched about the 1-16, 16-1 way. I never heard a good reason as to why it was a good idea. *IS* there a good reason to do it that way instead of 1-16, 1-16?

Give me a few minutes to think about it.

I can't remember the reasoning given in the Movie Draft we did. I was near the middle and it didn't affect me. But 1-16, 1-16 certainly sounds good now! Posted Image

I like 1-16, 1-16 too. It just seems fairer.

I have Zen's pick, but Jefferson and Walter are probably sleeping, like most decent people in this general time zone. (I'm not decent, I'm a Tivo-watching, zombie, insomniac freak)

1-16 / 16-1 is the fairest method.

1-16 / 1-16: The draft order determines your advantage(top eight, bottom eight) throughout the entire tourney.

1-16 / 16-1: The draft order is unimportant. The advantages switch every round, so regardless of draft order, you have five advantaged rounds and five disadvantaged rounds.

Wow, when you put it like that...! I understand now, and see that it makes sense. Thank you for explaining it Andy.

Ok, 1-16, 16-1 it is. (I know, now I have longer to wait too)

I'm going to sleep a while now.
