What's your AV-15 alignment??? (1 Viewer)

Now that the AV-15 have shipped, I'm wondering what designs folks are going to use. I have not yet decided which direction I'm going so I can't list mine. I hope this thread will yield some inspiration!

Let's hear you choice of enclosure, port and tuning (if applicable, predicted frequency response, etc.

Let the games begin!

dual av15 in a single encloser 740l tuned to 17hz powered by a samson s1000 but still waiting for driver.

I'm leaning towards 200 liters tuned to 18 Hz. Response just looks a bit flatter to me than the suggested 250 liter EBS. Just a tiny bit more output at 30 Hz.

Not sure how I'll port it yet. Either two FP-4 ports, or one flared 6".

I've recently discovered that I can't hear much below 28 Hz. :frowning: So the low tuning is just for that nice smooth low-group-delay EBS sound.

Four AV15's in an IB.

i thought i was crasy with 2 but maybe i might have to add 2 more to get into the norm.

I am using an AV15 in a sealed 3ft^3 enclosure for my car.

these are very sweet looking subs. i might have to get a third 15 or 2 12 for my car. i have a good kicker and a cheap mtx on my trunk and the kicker has a bad suround.

How many people have received their AV15s?

I am still awaiting for my two AV15s to arrive. It should be any month now. I plan on placing each in a sealed enclosure of 3 to 4 cubic feet and EQing if needed.

mine were shiped on the 25 and got to me on the 28 but i live in mi detroit home of the crapy lions and they were shiped from wi green bay home of the packers with is a 8 hour drive.

my first impreshon of my dual av15 in a 740l box tuned ti 17hz after 1 movie and a few demos.

the bass is much more smoth, flat and effortless. there is less bass but at times there is more. the bass fills the room effortless. it si more punchey but less boomey.
i cant wait for the sub to be broken in. i saw huge gains from my last sub fron when i first got it to when it was broken in.


my old sub was no slouch but just dont compare to my new one i went from a velo ct 120

I should be getting mine tomorrow!!! It is in Pennsylvania, and I am in VA a 2 1/2 hr drive away from me I cant wait. The enclosure is all ready to go.

My two AV15s showed up a few minutes ago. I was not expecting FedEx Saturday delivery, but I did not reject the shipment.

The AV15s look very nice.

Well Jeff with master builder Brian Bunge's help and he will be building this for me. I have decided to go with a 28"H X 24"W X 26"D, 225L, black oak, dual 4" ported, forward firing enclosure stuffed to perfection. Not to tight but not to light. 20Hz tune. We are going to throw the 720 watt HS500 plate amp at it. This should bring it in at 113.3db at 20Hz and 114.7db at 30Hz Anechoic.____________________________

I really don't like LFE but Brian twisted my arm into buying this config. I will probably just turn it on its side and use it for a coffee table.

The AV15 is a thing of beauty!

Yowza, it's HUGE. My wife said it looked like a salad bowl.

This is a SERIOUS woofer.

Single AV-15 in 5 c.f. box (24" cube from 2 layer 3/4" mdf). Dual 18" PR's(1600grams), tuning of about 21Hz.

Anyone have any enclosures built so far...
