I to am waiting for this film. I thought it was one of the films we would see out by now. Is it Warner or MGM who owns this? I would even settle for a 16:9 version of what they have been showing on TV for years. Can this film really be in such bad shape?

Warner Bros. has this and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to discover they were working on it as we speak. It was a highly popular film and has done well on VHS, so my guess is that Warner realizes its DVD potential. Just a matter of being patient. It'll look awesome when it does come out.

I don't know why I started looking at this again but... What is the correct running time for this flick? IMDB lists 158 minutes but is it that long really? The laserdisc listing is also 158 minutes but does that laserdisc by any chance include the trailers running time as well? I believe the trailer is about 2 minutes and 20 seconds.
