It seems inevitable that 2001 will win this, but what the hell, why not?

Brian: I recommend that you subject your more obscure choices (e.g., Six Pack, 7 Golden Vampires) to the seconding process.

Nominate:
12 Monkeys
The 39 Steps
Seven Samurai

Second:
The Seventh Seal

While I understand why you say this Chuck, one of the main reasons for this tournament was to get some non Raiders, Star Wars, LOTR, Leon, Matrix, Lebowski type movies. There is no way for them to sneak in here. I wanted a little variety. By taking away some of these (granted many may have not seen them) I eliminate that. When has Six Pack ever appeared in a tourney? Vampires doesn't make it in to many. It didn't make it into the current tourney dedicated to Vampires (and Werewolves and Zombies).

All Apologies to those who will have to abstain, or think I'm loony.

And Erik, all movies appearing in "The List" are already in. So you have all your seconds remaining.

I'll nominate

Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs
Double Indemnity
The Magnificent Seven
Stalag 17
The Dirty Dozen

I know Double Indemnity and Dirty Dozen don't have numbers per se, but neither do Third Man, Close Encounters, etc.

However, if you disallow them, then replace them with

Seven Year Itch
Sorry, Wrong Number

If you disallow Sorry, Wrong Number, then replace it with

It Happened One Night

That all makes sense doesn't it? :)

I'll second:

Apollo 13

Erik, I promise I'm not picking on you. However, I'm not going to allow LOTR:TTT. While it does have a number in the title, it is a sequel. I know that the "two" in the title isn't in reference to part 2, but I still am not allowing it. Sorry

Second First Blood.

I don't know why I am participating in your tourney Kissinger, considering the link you gave to Steve as a recommendation for someone to nominate for the "crazy" tourney!

When will you admit, publicly, your love for NASCAR!?
