Well, I'd suggest that any film made after Touch of Evil doesn't qualify as a noir. And that any film shot in color doesn't qualify as a noir. But it isn't my tourney.

I would have liked to have nominated To Have & Have Not, but I think it's borderline noir.

Well this is a bucket of worms when you're dealing with film noir (genre or movement?). I'd agree that, roughly speaking, any film later than Touch of Evil wouldn't be a part of the film noir movement.
