Just had to re-watch this movie for the first time in years after seeing (and enjoying) "Catch Me If You Can". I'd forgotten how amazing a character Wendell Harris presents in Doug Street--alternately sympathetic, hilarious, outrageous, arrogant, and selfish, but always riveting. It's extremely easy to believe that he could talk his way into any situation and become the "chameleon" of the title, inhabiting any manner of profession purely on the strength of his charm and intelligence. It's really a shame this magnificent and engrossing film hasn't found its way to DVD yet. Anyone else had the pleasure of discovering this obscure little gem?
