Hello to all,

Since business is kind of slow this time of year I have been spending time on the web looking for a new shop project and I stumbled into the world of the DIY speaker builder. The amount of information is overwhelming so I am looking for someone with more experience to guide me. I was planning on purchasing some new Paradigm studio 40's but from the looks of things my money can be spent better on a DIY set. My budget would be around the $1000 (Canadian) mark and I would like to build the cabinets myself. I think I would prefer a prebuilt cross over but I could follow a kit to build this as well. I hope this is enough info to give you an idea as to what I need (or think I need) Posted Image

Kit281, HE12.1 or HE10.1 from the second link.

Depending on the finish, all should easily come in at under $1k CDN.

Here's a thread with plenty of links to kit providers. Enjoy!
