I've been scouring the web for this one, and thought that Les Emerson did it (an old 5-man Electrical Band singer). No luck though. Anyboy? Thx

I can hear the lyric in my head, and the pacing is like some Bread song, but Lyric Finder isn't giving me an answer that makes any sense.

(It gives DIZZY by Tommy Roe as a song that contains that phrase, but I know that isn't the one you're thinkin' of.)

I know the song too and am wondering where it went. There is no reference to it anywhere
I think it came out in 1973 which is the year I was in Grade 8.
