Knew this might happen. You see, as I went through people's lists (and not the second lists some people have posted), I'd chosen Dallas for example. Then when I looked at another poster's list the only show I liked out of their list was Dallas as well. So I had to pick a different show from the first person's list. If that confuses you, I'm not surprised! lol
No surprise at all as I almost did the same thing. Going through the first time wasn't so bad but going back to eliminate duplicates was a bear. I'm glad I did it before the number of participants grew any more! :D

GAME OF THRONES would have been on this list (in place of SG-1) except season 2 is too uneven.

Typo in my post which you replied to. Should have read "especially if you fitted in TV movies".

Yes, it would take a lot of planning to organise a convention/screening event like this.
How much floor space, probably need at least four rooms for screenings, admission charges (we'd HAVE to to cover rental fees), if we could get some people connected with television and the current DVD/blu ray releases to attend, that would be nice too.

Frankly, it's a shame this thought didn't come sooner. Would have been nice to have had something like this beyond the idea phase since I'd love to invite the higher ups at TMG to come as a farewell and a thank you from the fanbase.

So much fun to see all these lists and realize how many favorites we all have in common. I am definitely of the TV Generation; these shows are like old friends.

There has been some great list by people. It was difficult when i put my list together as i like so many shows. I glad that as kid and young adult got to see some amazing tv shows that knock stuffing out of anything on tv today.

Bob, the show Joker's Wild you mentioned in your post (post #91 of this thread) - was this similar to the UK game show Play Your Cards Right, or was it a panel show with comedians trying to outdo one another by saying the funniest joke? There was a late 60's/early 70's UK panel comedy series of the same name (presented by Barry Cryer).

"The Joker's Wild" was a show where a contestant would pull a slot machine type lever to see what categories would come up for questions. Two of one category was worth $100, while a single one was worth only $50. There were also "Joker" cards which could increase the value of a question but if you spun three Jokers, you could win the game automatically. Contestants winning the game then played a bonus game on the slot machine lever to try and "beat the Devil" and get cash values up to $1000 without a "devil" appearing which would then give them a multi-thousand dollar prize package as a bonus if they got to $1000.
The show was hosted by Jack Barry of the rigged 50s quiz show "Twenty-One" that got immortalized in the movie "Quiz Show" and represented his comeback to TV after being blackballed for more than 15 years. He hosted the show until his death in 1984.

Never thought it would have anything to do with slot machines, The Joker's Wild. Thought it had something to do with playing cards, as well as possibly being a US version of the UK panel show Joker's Wild (or the other way round, and the UK panel quiz was a version of the US game show The Joker's Wild). Thanks for explaining what The Joker's Wild was about Jack.

I'll take a shot, but after #1, the order is subject to change.

Couldn't quite fit Rescue Me in, and I'm sure I forgot something else really good.
I did forget something really good. Everwood is definitely in my top ten list too. Sorry I forgot it.
Also, I realize I'm much more a fan of modern TV than the classics, unlike many of you. Not sure why that is, but it might be interesting to explore. I guess I prefer serialized dramas, and there weren't many serialized classics. But I did spend a lot of time in those days watching TV, and I certainly enjoyed my share of classic shows.
