George, could I respectfully suggest that you vary the quality of the films you select for each pool. I think the almost unanimous quality of the selections betrays the "you lose" part of this draft's purpose. I hardly think being "stuck" with Ghandi, Heaven's Gate or Malcolm X is punishment enough for being late to pick. :p)

Well, I don't think I was very clear in my last post. The pattern referred to the same 3 people being last :). As far as the quality, that's always debatable, but the point isn't really 'snooze-you lose' as in 'get stuck with a bad film' so much as 'snooze-you lose' as in 'you get a much more limited selection', which might include some bad films, or maybe just less superior films. Also, when it comes to this category (3+ hour films), I'd be curious as to what other films (of any quality) I could have stuck in. There really aren't many films that long.
In any case, I'd be interested to see what you think of the 'quality' of the films in my next list. :)
