Hmmm, elastic snap...I'll have to add that one to the vocab. I think I experienced the same thing. I thought it was the extra power being able to control the sound fields a bit more. For example, when Marlin and Dori are in the whale and the waves are crashing back and forth. You really feel the waves. Stuff like that.

Yes if you get your sound meter out and cue for 90db's the amp opens up nicely for movies. You get even more Elastic Snap.
