The large or the giant? I'm not certain which the blank is, the comments suggest it is the 5.5".The interesting thing is the continuing shrinkage of the bezels. Again this helps with one handed use but I think it's going to be over the line for those of us with stubby fingers.I remain dubious, and while I won't swear against getting one, it's going to have to take some real convincing to get me to go to one.Again tho, once you have big screen parity, what then? More important to me remains multi-user or at least guest mode and better battery life. Of course the bigger screens eat a bit more juice, but you have more real estate for battery bricks too.

Well my wife will be getting an iPhone in September. She never got the hang of her gs3 even after nearly 2 years now. Me, not sure yet. I like nearly everything about Android but miss the ease of iTunes. Although I have liked using Google music which is like Spotify. My major trouble is I just traded in my 4th gs3 for a new one due to a cracked glass. A 5.5 iPhone will sure be tempting. Wonder what the price point will be. A Note is $300 with two years.

Price will likely be $199, $299, $399 as with the 5s.

More rumors surfacing today for bigger iPhone

In a way, as a Mac owner, I am very excited about a 5.5" iPhone.

I own the Galaxy Note 3 which is 5.7" and it doesn't seem that
big at all. Trust me, screen real estate is everything. To actually
be able to comfortably read a webpage on a phone is something
that I hope more people get to experience with Apple. Plus, the
phone of that size does fit comfortably in the pocket.

I would love to return to the iPhone just for the way it fluently
works with all my other Apple devices.

    On the other hand...

I love the freedom of Android. My phone doesn't look like any
other Galaxy Note 3. Instead of having to wait till a jailbreak is
available on the iPhone, I can pimp out my phone to my heart's
    content.

A bigger iPhone screen will mean more battery usage. Would
be no problem if Apple allowed a removable battery in their devices
like Android does. I always have a spare battery for my Galaxy Note 3
    close by.

A removable memory card would be another killer option. Have it
on my Android phone, but alas, Apple has never done it.

Honestly...I am not trying to stir up an Apple vs. Android war here.
Obviously, as much as I love my Android, I would consider going back
to iPhone for a larger screen. At the same time, I would be losing
a removable battery and memory card as well as the ability to design
    my phone to my liking.

It's a tough decision. I give credit to Apple for potentially putting me
in a position to have to make such a decision.

Opinions? Will this more than likely be in Sept/Oct? I have the 4 now and my contract just came up. Wait for the 5.5, or get a 5c/s now? Sometimes I really hate tech ^_^

    Richard,

If your contract is up now and we know that Apple is releasing *something* within the
next 7 months, I would absolutely wait it out.

...that is if you want the most current phone for the next two years of your contract.

Absolutely, I would wait it out.

    Wow, Sam....
Turning to the dark side now?Would be cool if this were the actual schematics rendering.

These days, Apple can't keep anything secret because of leaks.

If that rendering is close to the actual phone I'll be ordering the second it's possible to do so.

Then don't get your hopes up, the no memory card thing is, ya know, fundamental to Apples tiered pricing and all... Not to mention a key security cornerstone...

How do you force someone like Sam Posten to go to a 5.5" phone? Put the better camera in it:http://www.macrumors.com/2014/06/24/optical-image-stabilization-iphone-6/=pWe'll see if it pans out that way or not, but if they do short change the smaller phones like that it will be a hard choice for me. Really liking the renders of the thinner size and near zero bezel look, but man it looks like a flapjack from the front...

    Sam,

    I bet....

You will really appreciate the larger phone.
I hope you do get forced into the larger phone.

And said to max out at 64GB. Not sure that's enough to make everyone happy.
