Oliver Kahn wins the Golden Ball award (tournament MVP):
Golden Ball. The first goalkeeper to ever win it.
Ronaldo comes in second; I thought Ronaldo would win it with 8 goals total including 2 goals in the final (although his 2 goals in the final were set up beautifully by others).
I have been looking at the www.football365.com website out of England which has had some humorous stories throughout the World Cup. They have no love for Germany (or the USA, for that matter), and today they list some quotes from German broadcasters: German broadcaster quotes
As astutely put by one broadcaster, "Je länger das Spiel dauert, desto weniger Zeit bleibt." ("The longer the games goes on, the less time is left.")
