There is a movie that came out in 1970 and MGM has it on their Contemporary Classics VHS (released in 1997) called "Women In Love" starring Oliver Reed (a Ken Russell movie)
Any word on this hitting DVD?

This question got buried quick without the first response.
I am surprised it hasn't been released on DVD yet citing that it is an Academy Award winning movie and a ground breaking one where it has the first non-porn full male frontal nudity in a movie (if you are interested in such things) which includeds Oliver Reed (who was also in Gladiator).

Curious this isn't out yet-- I have the MGM LD from '96 or '97 that looks very nice indeed.

This is a film I paid an arm and a leg for on VHS - would love it on DVD. A film that once seen is never forgotten - from the nude fire-lit wrestling, to the fig eating to the Oliver Reed's final scene.

This would be a great 2 disc set with Ken Russel's "The Rainbow" his pre-sequel to WiL, I think there is a British R2 out of The Rainbow.

I'm sure MGM will get to it soon enough. They also own several other Russell films including THE MUSIC LOVERS, SAVAGE MESSIAH and VALENTINO. My favorite Russell film, THE DEVILS is still trapped over at Warner Bros.
