Great List, and i will say that i hope that some of those really do get announced, the rumored up coming Kubrick's makes that a good selection. And to be honest, i just pulled ten that i would love to see done correctly, Lionsgate needs to get into the catalog

    Dracula (1931) 80th

    Frankenstein (1931) 80th

    War Of The Worlds (1953)

Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (1956) 55th
    Stalag 17 (1953)

    Sunset Blvd (1950)

    The Quiet Man (1952)

Touch Of Evil (1958) to include all three versions!!

West Side Story (1961) 50th needs the CCBB treatment

Dick, I seriously doubt we will get a double feature of House Of Usher and Pit & Pendulum. IF they are released at all, they will be separate releases. My wish would be for a box set of Roger Corman's Poe films. Pit & Pendulum is my favorite horror film and I would love to see it on Blu-Ray! Till then I'll have to make do with my R2 DVD (better transfer than the R1) and the 16mm print I have coming. My other wishes: Scrooge 1970 (This is actually VERY likely as we got White Christmas this year so it seems logical that Paramount will put this one out next year. I hope!) War Of The Worlds 1953 West Side Story Cats Don't Dance The Phantom Tollbooth (Just released on DVD-R from Warner Archive. A remake is in the works so a Blu-Ray seems more likely then.) A Christmas Carol: 1938 (Reginald Owen) 1971 (Alastair Sim/ animated) 1999 (Patrick Stewart) 2004 (Kelsey Grammer) Bad Boys II Battlestar Galactica: The Original 1978 Series (I can dream can't I?) Buck Rogers In The 25th Century: 1979 TV Series (The series is unlikely but at least give us a nice widescreen version of the theatrical movie!) The Mouse And His Child The Beach Party Films 3-D Releases: Jaws 3-D Friday The 13th 3-D Treasure Of The Four Crowns Spacehunter Metalstorm House Of Wax 1953 The Mad Magician Battle For Terra That's all I can think of for now!

Corman/Price/Poe - we still dont know all of the deal Criterion has with MGM, but the have done a Sony box set, so this would be a great one for them

    1) The Passion of Joan of Arc (CC has hinted at a re-release, saying 2011 was "possible")

    2) The Magnificent Ambersons (ideally two versions: the theatrical cut and a Rick Schmidlin-esque reconstruction using stills and Herrmann's original music cues)

    3) Lawrence of Arabia (mastered in 8K)

    4) Vertigo (ideally mastered in 6K)

    5) The Dekalog (easily one of the two or three most requested titles from Criterion)

    6) Night of the Living Dead (yes, this is already out on blu-ray, but I'd like to see a definitive release w/ documentaries, interviews, stills galleries, and released under a proper label, like Criterion)

    7) Ryan's Daughter (already on DVD, would love a blu, ideally mastered in 8K)

    8) Heaven's Gate (director's and theatrical cut...this has been rumored for CC through their relationship with MGM)

    9) A boxset of Orson Welle's Shakespearean films (MacBeth, Othello and Chimes at Midnight)

    10) Gone To Earth (restored cut, and the American re-edit)

This would be a great release. They could also include the FINAL CUT documentary narrated by Willem Dafoe.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks (2011 is the 40th anniversary, and I'd like to see a seamless branching option to include the "Step in the Right Direction" photo montage in the body of the film, which I wish the DVDs had had [unless of course the footage for it finally turns up])

    The Manchurian Candidate (1962)

The Ten Commandments (55th anniversary, I'm guessing this is coming since it has been restored)

    Mr. Smith Goes To Washington

    My Fair Lady

The Producers (1968, why this was not in the Mel Brooks box set is beyond me)

Giant (supposedly in pretty dire need of restoration)

    Hello, Dolly!

    Airplane!

Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (his Broadway show is being taped for HBO, so this would be a good time to do it)

How about some Robert Mitchum on Blu-ray?

As Fox Home Entertainment have shown with South Pacific and The Sound Of Music that they can produce high quality BRDs when they make the effort, let's have Heaven Knows Mister Allison and River of No Return on Blu-ray. If done right and from good elements, those two movies would look just fine in HD.

So would The Wonderful Country! It's not out even on DVD but it has great color cinematography ideal for HD. What about Track Of The Cat and all that snow? I assume Warners still have this. So, Warners: how about it?
