I've got 2 of these speakers atm. With these specs, how do they stack up against the other mid-range speakers out there?

The sensitivity spec is unsually high, but that's a good thing if it's true. Most speakers are only rated around 90db/1w/1m so 100 rated speakers would need much fewer watts to achieve the same volume level. Mainly you just need to decide if you like their sound character.

Exactly, specs can only tell you so many things. How you think they sound isn't one of them. You will want to add a seperate sub to handle the lower frequencies since they are only rated down to 59Hz. And that may be fudged.

Sure enough, the speakers are rated at 100dB sensitivity. And, I thought Klipsch had higher sensitivities.

most speakers that have high sensitivity have less control and therefore are less accurate. a few exceptions like klipsch sound good. speakers like cerwin vega and DCM are efficiant but are only good for loud boomy music IMO.

Next to the tweeter (small one on top, correct?), there is this turning switch.

It says Hi Frequency Level and the knob allows me to turn it to a setting (there are no numbers, just notches).

What does this do?

Glorified treble knob. Your manual will probably indicate at what frequency/db boost it affects. The "middle" of the knobs range is probably (hopefully) a bypass setting. If you do like using it, make sure you leave your receiver treble setting at its center or +0db setting to avoid any double treble adjustment.
